Ruben’s Story age 3 Autoimmune Diseases
Thanks to Natalie, Ruben’s mother for sharing her little boy Ruben’s age 3 story. Ruben has multiple autoimmune diseases that affect his lungs, liver and blood. They are all live threaten and he has spent much of his life in the hospital with a couple of times in the ICU fighting for his life. Ruben’s conditions are very rare, he was first diagnosed with autoimmune haemolytic anaemia (blood disease) when he was only 5 months old. Ruben’s spent most of his baby life receiving blood transfusions and IV treatments. Ruben is ok now, but the fear when it will strike again is always there.
